Happy Frog FNAF Guide

Five Nights at Freddy’s is mainly known for its incredibly large roster of animatronics that every game has. Upon a new game’s release, the roster gradually expands as new animatronics come to the series. Happy Frog is one of those animatronics introduced fairly recently to one of the newer FNAF games – Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator, the sixth canon FNAF installment.

She isn’t one of the most high-profile characters, but she is still an interesting addition to the roster of animatronics. In my opinion, it’s sad to see how she is so underrated.

So today, I’m going to show you everything that you need to know about Happy Frog. Here is our comprehensive Happy Frog FNAF Guide.

Bottom Line Up Front

Personally, I think Happy Frog is a great animatronic. She is one of the cutest in the series. She looks happy, as her name implies, and it’s also nice to see the bright side of this horror franchise. I would really like to see her in more Five Nights at Freddy’s games, as in my opinion, she has the potential to play a much bigger role in the main story, much like the rest of the Mediocre Melodies group that she is a part of.

Appearances

Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator

Happy Frog FNAF

Happy Frog made her debut appearance in the sixth canon installment of Five Nights at Freddy’s – Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator. She was one of the newly introduced characters that appeared as a purchasable product.

She is a part of the Mediocre Melodies, a group of animatronics that are all purchasable products in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator.

Happy Frog costs $200 in Stan’s Budget Tech catalog, and her stats are all listed at zero, apart from Entertainment which is listed at ‘4’. She is a minor improvement to your pizzeria, but later in the game, she isn’t really an important character.

She is the only female animatronic in the Mediocre Melodies, and she later becomes an antagonist in the game that got released after Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator – Ultimate Custom Night. Happy Frog’s gender was accidentally confirmed when Scott Cawthon made a typo writing her description for Ultimate Custom Night. Which made him openly state on Reddit in response to a post:

“Happy Frog was supposed to be a girl, just a typo on my part. It’s fixed now!”

Ultimate Custom Night

Happy Frog FNAF

Happy Frog is one of the selectable antagonists in Ultimate Custom Night, which tries to kill you if you decide to select her. She can also be spawned in by Dee-Dee if you don’t already have her in the game.

She is specifically located in the duct system where the other Mediocre Melodies are. She is the only one of the Mediocre Melodies who is immune to the heat which can sometimes cause issues if you aren’t careful. However, if you use an audio lure instead, you’ll stop her from dropping down into your office.

This is also the first game where we hear her voice. she has voice lines that you will hear after you die as do the majority of the UCN animatronics.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach

Surprisingly enough, Happy Frog made a cameo appearance on one of the arcade machines in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach.

There she can be seen on the Nedd Bear: The Space Soldier arcade machine, where she can be seen posing in a purple robe next to Nedd Bear.

Design

Happy Frog FNAF

Happy Frog is an anthropomorphic frog animatronic. Her entire body is completely bright green with some shades of yellow around certain parts like her chest, fingertips, feet, eyes, jaw, and around the eyes. Happy Frog’s thighs and waist are colored in dark green, which presumably represents some kind of pants that she is wearing.

She has magenta eyes, long dark eyelashes, and a yellow ball on her head connected with a metal rod. Happy Frog has always had a rather happy face full of joy. Just like her name implies, she is always shown with a happy facial expression. Her jaw is connected by the endoskeleton, and she has two rows of buck teeth.

She is holding a microphone in her right hand and also has an electric box behind her that has circuits and wires coming out of it.

Voice Lines

In the Ultimate Custom Night, Happy Frog’s voice is heard for the first time. And it actually confirms how she is a female animatronic. It is an innocent voice that sounds like a little girl, being happy and playful. And most interestingly, during one of her most threatening voice lines, there is another much quieter voice that is repeating the exact same line.

“We’ve only just begun (Only just begun), I will never let you leave,(Never let you leave), I will never let you rest (Never let you rest).”

That is probably referring to the fact that she is in that moment controlled by another spirit, presumably Cassidy, who is dubbed in the game as “the one you should not have killed.” This also happens with a few other Mediocre Melodies animatronics.

“I bet you weren’t expecting me, were ya? Turn your back for one second and I’m like “Washroom”! Ninja skills.”

“You and I don’t get to talk as often as I’d like.”

“Everyone underestimates me, but they turn their back and I’m like “Boo!” and then they’re like “Wlaaagh.”

“Move over, Freddy Fazbear. Happy Frog is the new star of the show.”

Origin Theories

Happy Frog FNAF

Happy Frog’s origin is currently unknown, as she is a fairly recent character that only appeared in one canon Five Nights at Freddy’s game – Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator. She is most likely built by Henry Emily and the rest of Mediocre Melodies for the new pizzeria he planned to build to catch the remaining animatronics. Or maybe there is a different story to be told in later additions in the series.

One of the main things that people point out is that she is based on the mask that one of the children is wearing during the Happiest Day minigame from Five Nights at Freddy’s 3. That could be possible because the mask resembles a green animal that could be an alligator or a frog. This parallel is also drawn between other members of Mediocre Melodies as other masks resemble them.

FAQs

Answer: As far as it’s currently known, they are not. Even though Happy Frog and Monty may look similar as they are both green creatures that come out of the water, they are unfortunately not related in any way possible.

Question: Who Voices Happy Frog in Ultimate Custom Night?

Answer: Happy Frog is voiced by Madison Brunoehler. She is the only character in the FNAF series to be voiced by Madison.

Question: Is Happy Frog a Member of the Rockstar Animatronics?

Answer: No, she isn’t. Happy Frog is a part of another group called Mediocre Melodies. The Rockstar animatronics feature all the original four animatronics from the first game and the Marionette.
While the Mediocre Melodies focus more on the lesser-known animatronics in the series that don’t have their own established brand like Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy.

Happy Frog FNAF Guide: Conclusion

Happy Frog is one of the cutest animatronics in the FNAF series. Even though she’s not that scary, she is a fairly well-made addition to the Five Nights at Freddy’s series. As it perfectly represents a more innocent and fun side of the series.

Overall, she might not have had her time in the spotlight, but I reckon that in time, Happy Frog will have their moment in the spotlight, and what a terrifying and unsettling time it will be!
