The reasons will be revealed further in this article guide which will explain the FNAF 6 ending. But first, I’m going to cover the entire story that leads to the events of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator happening. You will have an insight into the characters that took part in it, as it’s crucial for understanding everything related to the ending.

Backstory

The Making of Lefty

Henry Emily was a co-founder of the first ever Fredbear’s Family Diner and the creator of the hybrid spring-lock suit animatronics. He was one of the two main engineers working together with his colleague – William Afton. Henry had a wife and two children. However, only one of his children is important – Charlotte, as she was definitely his favorite.

The business within the diner was booming; everything was going how it should until a particular tragedy struck Henry’s family.

During one of the first years of the restaurant, William Afton murdered his daughter – Charlotte, with unknown intent, right infront of Fredbear’s Family Diner. The event of the death of Charlotte Emily is shown two times in the Five Nights at Freddy’s games.

The first time we got to see her death partake was in a rare death minigame in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, which had low chances of occurring when you get killed by an animatronic. Then the he second time was in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator, where the secret minigame which shows her death is unlocked by beating the Security Puppet’s minigame for the third time.

And after she died, her soul went on to possess the Security Puppet. Which, in the end, would strive to become the Marionette animatronic that we have first seen in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. After that incident, the Fredbear’s Family Diner closed, and Henry Emily would retrieve from the public’s eye. And, unfortunately, the company was unsuccessful at finding his whereabouts from that point on.

This left Henry with a plethora of time to recover from the death of his daughter. However, because of that event, his only goal in life would be to find William Afton and the rest of the possessed animatronics, so he can finally bring his legacy to an end.

At that point in time, freeing the remaining lost souls became his final goal. This led Henry to the only possible solution at that time, starting up his own Freddy Fazbear’s pizzeria again in order to lure back William Afton and the remaining animatronics.

Furthermore, he first started by finding Marionette, his long-lost daughter. To accomplish that, Henry built a special animatronic that would lure and encapsulate the Marionette. It would make Henry able to completely control his daughter.

Therefore, the animatronic would be called L.ure E.ncapsulate F.use T.ransport and E.xtract – LEFTE, or just Lefty. This is confirmed by the secret blueprints revealed in the Insanity ending of FNAF 6, they revealed Lefty’s real name and how he exactly functions.

He would later be found in the back alley by Michael Afton – working as an employee in the new pizzeria, where he proceeded with the salvage of Lefty.

The Afton Family

FNAF 6 Ending Afton Family

The Afton family story is more complex than Henry’s and Charlotte’s situation. William Afton, the father of three and a husband, drove the entire family into a demise. Firstly, he opened the Fredbear’s Family Diner with his friend and co-worker – Henry Emily. The business with the family diner was booming; everything was going how it should.

Even though he murdered Charlotte in front of the pizzeria, he still got away with that crime. He didn’t have any mere consequences, at least not yet.  Then, the Fredbear’s Family Diner would close, and Henry would slowly back off from his public life.

Not too long after, a major tragedy occurred – an event that would get back at William for murdering Henry’s daughter. Then, in 1983, in one of the open pizzerias, a spring-lock failure involving William’s younger son happened.

It occurred because Michael Afton – William’s older son, decided to play a prank on his younger brother by putting him in the Fredbear’s jaw against his will. He decided to do that in order to frighten his brother because he enjoyed bullying him at the time.

When he put him into the Fredbear’s jaw, a spring-lock failure occurred because his younger brother set them off by accident with his tears; he couldn’t stop crying due to the fear that he was experiencing. Fredbear then literally crushed his jaw, leaving him stuck inside while the blood splattered.

This event is best known to people as the Bite of 1983.

This is the first tragedy that struck the Afton family, which would cause a chain reaction of deaths within the family. However, even though that event happened, William Afton still continued to work on fixing the reputation and expanding Freddy Fazbear’s pizzeria.

The next victim of his animatronics was William Afton’s youngest daughter – Elizabeth Afton.

After the Bite of 1983, a new location was opened by Afton Robotics LLC – Circus Baby’s Entertainment and Rental. The animatronics down there was something that the world had never seen before; the technology back then was surely advanced for that time.

Animatronic Circus Baby’s design was something that sparked the curiosity of the technicians that have built her. Because they noticed some odd features that an animatronic shouldn’t have. They didn’t know what they were used for; however, they didn’t know that they were actually made for murdering and capturing children.

Matter of fact, Circus Baby was a killer animatronic designed to lure and murder children. It was dangerous to let her be alone with a child, so William always scolded his daughter – Elizabeth, whenever she wanted to approach Circus Baby. Because there was a high chance of Elizabeth getting scooped by Baby.

Sadly, one day, Elizabeth snook to see her, and the animatronic murdered her right on the spot. This gruesome scene is visible during the secret minigame that had a chance of happening after you die in Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location. If you went on and fed all children ice cream, once you go to the beginning of the minigame, you will notice the rather shocking scene.

However, Elizabeth then went on to possess the Circus Baby animatronic. Making her become one of the major upcoming villains in the FNAF series.

Then, because his daughter went missing, William Afton sent his only remaining child – Michael, to find his sister in Circus Baby’s Entertainment and Rentals. He sent him because he expected Michael to get killed by the animatronics; he expected him to not come back to the surface. But, the opposite happened.

In the end, the souls possessing the Funtime animatronics and Elizabeth used Michael as a vessel, with which they could get out of the underground location. So, they left in the form of Ennard through Michael’s body, and later, on the surface, they exited it.

Because of this, Michael Afton became a living rotting corpse, but he avoided death with the help of the spirit possessing Circus Baby – his sister Elizabeth. Meanwhile, he sought to find his father again, so he could have his revenge for everything that he has done.

And, after many years of searching and going through abandoned Freddy Fazbear pizzerias, Michael finally found his father, but not in the form he was expecting him to be. His father was now trapped in his own creation, in the Springbonnie spring-lock suit. The problem was that he couldn’t leave it; he was bound to it forever.

That all happened because he got punished by the original five children from the Missing Children Incident that happened because he murdered them. You can see that gruesome scene of him getting stuck in the animatronic suit during the last end-of-night minigame in Five Nights at Freddy’s 3, where he physically became one with the suit after it crushed his insides, unable to leave it.

Michael seeing his father in this state, decided to burn down the entire pizzeria with his father inside. And, once he’s done that, his father managed to survive somehow, coming later in the form of Scraptrap that we later see in FNAF 3’s sequel – Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator.

The Completion Ending

Back to Henry Emily.

When he decided to open a new pizzeria that would serve as a trap for the remaining lost souls, the only person who wanted to partake in this job was Michael Afton.

Henry never really introduced himself to Michael; he left the job instructions on the cassette tapes, and their intentions became unknown to each other.

That is how he got him to salvage all animatronics that he needed:

  • Scraptrap – The remainings of Springtrap, William Afton, who found himself in the back alley because the newly open pizzeria intrigued him.
  • Scrap Baby – The remaining of Circus Baby after being ejected from Ennard. She was lured to the pizzeria in a particularly interesting way, when Henry introduced himself to her as her father – William Afton; she gave her certain instructions to make her think that this whole pizzeria was a secret plan for their reunion.
  • Molten Freddy – The remainings of Ennard after ejecting Circus Baby, who found themselves in the back alley just like Scraptrap.
  • Lefty – The special animatronic made to contain the Marionette, who came back after capturing her.

After Michael salvaged all animatronics from the back alley, the final day had just come.

It seemed like a regular end of the shift until Michael heard Scrap Baby’s voice again.

She started talking to him about how this whole pizzeria is not something he thinks it is. Then, she started explaining to him how this was all a trap, a gift for her and the rest of the animatronics. But, her speech didn’t last for a while because Henry interrupted her.

This is the part where one of the most recognizable FNAF moments took place when he had his speech for all present animatronics. He left a special message for everyone captured, and the most touching one being the message for his daughter.

It was one of the best-written speeches that you will ever hear.

The temperature in the room started rising, and the animatronics couldn’t leave the immerse heat. They all got burned down together with the entire building, leaving everyone to their dismay.

William Afton’s legacy was finally finished, or it was thought so, while the rest of the children were finally free.

Henry’s Speech

“Connection terminated.

I’m sorry to interrupt you, Elizabeth. If you still even remember that name.

But I’m afraid you’ve been misinformed.

You are not here to receive a gift. Nor have you been called here by the individual you assume. Although, you have indeed been called.

You have all been called here into a labyrinth of sounds and smells, misdirection, and misfortune.

A labyrinth with no exit. A maze with no prize. You don’t even realize that you are trapped. Your lust for blood has driven you in endless circles. Chasing the cries of children in some unseen chamber, always seeming so near.

Yet somehow out of reach.

But, you will never find them. None of you will.

This is where your story ends.

And to you, my brave volunteer, who somehow found this job listing not intended for you. Although there was a way out planned for you, I have a feeling that’s not what you want. I have a feeling that you are right where you want to be.

I am remaining as well. I am nearby.

This place will not be remembered, and the memory of everything that started this can finally begin to fade away. As the agony of every tragedy should.

And to you, monsters trapped in the corridors. Be still. And give up your spirits.

They don’t belong to you.

As for most of you, I believe there is peace and perhaps, warmth waiting for you after the smoke clears.

Although, for one of you, the darkest pit of Hell has opened to swallow you whole. So, don’t keep the Devil waiting, friend.

My daughter, if you can hear me, I knew you would return as well. It’s in your nature to protect the innocent. I’m sorry that on that day, the day you were shut out and left to die, no one was there to lift you up in their arms the way you lifted others into yours.

And then, what became of you? I should have known you wouldn’t be content to disappear. Not my daughter. I couldn’t save you then.

So, let me save you now. It’s time to rest, for you, and for those you have carried in your arms…

This ends.

For all of us.”

The Aftermath of the Fire

FNAF 6 Ending

Overall

After everything has ended, we never hear from Henry again in the next Five Nights at Freddy’s games. While it’s a different case for other animatronics. In Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, we actually get to see most of these characters reappearing after the great fire.

So, William Afton is present again, but this time in the form of Burntrap. His design is completely altered, but his appearance isn’t really a big one. Baby and Marionette appear as the parts of the new animatronic – Blob. Which seems to be an amalgamation of a bunch of old and new animatronics.

And, most surprisingly, you can even find an old destroyed Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. Which from the inside looks very similar to the pizzeria you designed in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator. Because of this finding, it is most likely that Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex is built upon the ruins of the pizzeria from FNAF 6. This now opens more questions and speculations that yet await to be answered.

FNAF 6 Ending Explained: Conclusion

Why is This the “Perfect” Ending?

All endings in past Five Nights at Freddy’s games never really put a good conclusion to the whole series; there are always unsolved mysteries and events that had to be further explained. When FNAF: Sister Location came out, the story got even messier. Scott Cawthon – the creator of the FNAF series, introduced us to the Afton family and their complete backstory.

After it, he wanted to make a game that would clear everything that had to resolve, and Scott decided to finally end the Afton family’s story.

That’s why Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator is one of Scott’s greatest works; the game perfectly combines great storytelling and gameplay into one sequence. And also, the secret minigames and Easter eggs explained a lot of mysteries that remained unsolved at that time in the series.

This ending finally put a good conclusion that the FNAF fandom wanted. While not revealing too much, he still made space for a new story to be told.

The FNAF fandom adores this ending the most. Because of all of this, most people view it as the perfect ending to the current Five Nights at Freddy’s story. Some are even thinking about how the game should’ve just ended there instead of branching out into Glitchtrap.
